The Parish Council has recently been advised by Lancashire County Council of a change to arrangements regarding road closures to facilitate future acts of remembrance at the memorial on the Village Green.
The County Council’s advice is that, from 2023 onwards, any road closure must be supported under Town Police Clauses Act legislation which can be requested from Lancaster City Council and the closure managed by a Traffic Management contractor.
The Parish Council will liaise with the Over Kellet Parochial Church Council to agree arrangements for future events.
