Nether Kellet Road is to be closed between its junction with Kirklands Road to outside The Old School House from 8.00am on Monday, 22nd April until 5.00pm on Wednesday, 1st May (or until the works have been completed, if earlier). The closure is necessary to allow works to enable electric cabling work to be carried out.
Bus Service
With great thanks to your County Councillor Phillippa Williamson and Stagecoach, a bus service will still operate during the period of the road closure.
Buses will stop for passengers outside Over Kellet Village Hall then turn round at Church Bank to proceed to Carnforth via Nether Kellet and Back Lane. This will only be possible if parked cars do not obstruct the Church Bank road so that buses can get through. If they do, this service will cease.
Residents are asked to take special care not to cause any obstruction around Church Bank as this bus service is vital for villagers who do not drive and need to travel to Lancaster or Carnforth.
