The following bulletin has been provided by County Council Highways:
From Wednesday 9 January 2019 for around two weeks, various remedial works will be carried out on the A683 Bay Gateway (Heysham to M6 Link) to address ongoing defects.
Some of these works will be remote from highway, however some key works to be carried out will have more of an impact and the planned times are:-
Wednesday 16 January – Beaumont Junction (A6 / Bay Gateway): minor trial holes on roundabout central island to address kerbing issues
Tuesday 22 January – Lancaster Road Bridge (A6) for pointing to be carried out
Wednesday 23 January – Northgate Junction manhole repair:
Thursday 24 January – Morecambe Road manhole repair:
The manhole repairs will be carried out outside peak times and will require breaking out tarmac and compacting once complete. This could be a noisy activity for a brief period of time.
